Brendan Joel is an award-winning director/cinematographer from Perth, Western Australia, dedicated to bringing imaginative and cinematic stories to life on screen.
Over the past decade, Brendan has worked on a diverse range of projects, including films, music videos, series, commercial campaigns, and an audio/visual stage show. He completed a Masters in Screen Studies at the WA Screen Academy specialising in cinematography , receiving the Channel 9 'Award of Excellence' and a Silver ACS Award for his work on the short sci-fi film 'Spiral.'
In 2021, Brendan released his debut documentary, 'Dr Russell's Imaginarium,' sharing the colourful story behind a much-loved antiques store. Premiering on SBS Australia on Christmas Eve, the film is now accessible on SBS On Demand.
Brendan currently works as a freelance filmmaker while following his dream of creating imagination stirring film & television entertainment at his production oompany, Stir Films.
